Types of Auto Security Systems

1)   Audible security systems:  These security systems work by producing a shrill high pitched alarm and flashing the headlights to alert the general public and law enforcement nearly when someone tries to enter the car with unauthorized access. However irritating and annoying people might think it is, it is an invaluable tool in preventing car theft and most of the cars that are being produced now are fitted with audible security systems. The volume and the sensitivity of the alarm can be adjusted by the car owner as per his wishes.

2)   Inaudible systems: These alarm systems works without fuss and excitement by sending either a text message or a pager message when a person tries to entire the car with unauthorized access. However there is a clear fallacy in this system as the owner can be far away from the car and hence do nothing about the theft. All this security system does is alert the driver of the problem but does not provide any tangible solutions to the problem.

3)   Ignition system immobilizer: These security systems are the latest and the best forms of anti theft technologies being used now. With this technology, the car is programmed to shut of the engine automatically and prevent a restart when it detects unauthorized access.
